    About the Presentation:

This presentation provides healthcare professionals with a comprehensive overview of the patient termination process, with a focus on how to ethically and legally end the patient-physician relationship. Emphasis is placed on patient abandonment, ensuring continuity of care, and minimizing legal risks. The presentation will also address special considerations, such as handling termination during active treatment, including pregnancy, or with difficult patients, and navigating regulations.

    Objectives:

    1. When should you consider terminating the physician/patient relationship.
    2. How to minimize the legal risks associated with patient termination.
    3. Importance of a written process for patient termination.
    4. How to navigate the termination process when the patient decides to end the relationship
